Not sure, maybe not the geometry, but probably the clearance between the front and rear parts of your frame. My first guess would be yes. I wanted a longer travel shock, but the shop said I couldn't do longer than what the bike came with. Ask your LBS maybe it would work, let me know.

Sorry for the late reply guys, didn't realize I wouldn't get a notification if someone commented on this, it's a small frame (fits my wife she's 5'3") maybe it is an 05', don't know, bought it for my wife this summer, spent about $400 fixin' it up, rode it once, found out she was pregnant, she wants $1000 for it.
